📖 Why We Use the KJV Bible

We believe the Bible is the final authority for life and godliness. For English-speaking people, we hold to the King James Version (KJV) as the inspired, preserved, and inerrant Word of God.

While we understand that many families come from various Bible backgrounds, we want to clearly explain why our curriculum and teaching will use the King James Bible.

Other Versions:

🛑 Change the Nature of Salvation

In Acts 8:36–37, the Ethiopian eunuch asks Philip, “See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?”

Philip responds in the KJV, “If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

That vital confession — “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God” — is entirely removed in most modern Bible versions. Without this verse, it becomes easier to teach that baptism is what saves a person, instead of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8–9)

We believe this omission compromises the clear gospel message.

⚠️ Make Christ a Sinner

In Matthew 5:22, Jesus says:
“But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment…” (KJV)

Most modern versions remove the phrase “without a cause,” making it appear as though all anger is sin.

But Jesus Himself later demonstrates righteous anger in Mark 3:5, when He is grieved at the hardness of the Pharisees’ hearts and heals a man in the synagogue. If anger were always sinful, this would imply that Jesus sinned — which we firmly reject.

🩸 Erase the Blood of Christ

There are many places where modern versions downplay or omit direct references to the blood of Christ.

For example, Colossians 1:14 in the KJV says:
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”
But most modern versions remove “through his blood.”

This is not a minor detail.

Scripture tells us in Hebrews 9:22,
“Without shedding of blood is no remission.”

The blood of Christ is precious. It is necessary. To remove it is not simply a translation choice — it is, we believe, a spiritual attack.

🙏 A Matter of Faith

We believe that the King James Bible is not only reliable, but preserved by God for the English-speaking world. While we welcome those who use other versions, we want to be transparent that all Bible memory, Scripture-based lessons, and references throughout our curriculum will use the KJV.

We stand on it with confidence — and we invite your family to explore its riches with us.
