🎶 Why We Include Hymns and Songs
Music is powerful. It teaches, comforts, encourages, and stays in our hearts long after lessons are over. That’s why we intentionally include hymns and song recommendations in our curriculum—not as background noise, but as a vital part of your child’s spiritual formation.
Here’s why it matters:
- Truth That Sticks
Hymns are rich in doctrine and timeless truths. Children may forget a history date or science term—but the lyrics of “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” or “Jesus Loves Even Me” will stay with them for life. - Worship as a Way of Life
We want children to see worship not just as something you do on Sunday, but as part of everyday learning, play, and growth. Music helps make that real. - Unity Across Generations
Singing the same hymns as their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents creates a beautiful connection to the body of Christ through time. - Emotional and Spiritual Anchoring
When children go through hard times—now or in the future—these songs can bring comfort, hope, and spiritual clarity. - Engagement for Every Learner
Music engages parts of the brain that reading and writing can’t. For auditory and kinesthetic learners, songs become another powerful learning tool.
🎵 How It’s Built Into the Day
Throughout our curriculum, you’ll find song recommendations that align with the theme, memory verse, or Bible truth being taught that week. These aren’t random add-ons—they’re carefully selected and placed into the daily routine so that your family can begin the day with praise, reinforce truths through music, or enjoy joyful review during transitions and breaks.
📱 Easy Access to Every Song
All of our recommended songs are available through one of two low-cost music apps—making it simple to stream them in the car, around the house, or during lessons.
While we strongly recommend these resources, they are by no means necessary to be able to use our curriculum.
